Format conversion for Colombian productions runs through the Toma Uno Bogotá transcode farm and partner systems at Limonero Films and Estudio Cuatro Medellín, where parallel-processing infrastructure handles the multi-format reality of today's release plans. From a single colour-graded ProRes 4444 XQ or DNxHR HQX master, we produce theatrical DCP source, broadcast IMF, OTT streaming encodes, social-cut deliverables, and archive LTO masters in a single set up pass.
Streaming encodes are built to sites spec: H.264 high-profile and H.265/HEVC main10 for Netflix Latam, Amazon Prime Video LatAm, Disney+ Latino, HBO Max, and Globoplay Brazil; AV1 encodes for YouTube and the newer streaming tiers that have adopted it; VP9 for legacy YouTube and sites-redundancy fallbacks. Bitrate ladders are tuned per sites, with per-title encoding (PTE) analysis applied where the source content warrants it.
Audio encoding follows the picture: AAC stereo and 5.1 for standard streaming, Dolby Digital and Dolby Digital Plus for top tiers, Dolby Atmos for the immersive-audio slate, and broadcast-spec AC-3 5.1 stems for Caracol, RCN, and the regional channels.
Subtitle and caption deliverables cover the full Colombian multi-sites stack — VTT and SRT for streaming, IMSC1 for Netflix and Apple TV+, ITT for Apple deliveries, CEA-708 caption tracks burned into broadcast masters, and the bilingual EN/ES delivery norm that every Colombian feature and series exports against. Neutral Spanish (LatAm-spanning), Castilian (Spain co-pro deliveries), and Latin English subtitle passes are produced and sync-checked in the same workflow. Each deliverable ships with a hash manifest, autoQC report, and sites-spec compliance sheet so sites ingest clears on first pass.
