Here is how it adds up. Archive preservation in Colombia is shaped by two realities: the country's climate and the depth of its national film-heritage infrastructure. Toma Uno Bogotá and Limonero Films run LTO-9 archive workflows with LTFS indexing, dual-copy redundancy, and offsite mirroring to climate-controlled vaults that account for the humidity challenges of Bogotá altitude versus Pacific Chocó coastal runs versus the dry Guajira north.

Here is the layout. We set up preservation-master creation in ProRes 4444 XQ and DNxHR HQX, plus first-camera-negative ARRIRAW, X-OCN, and R3D archive, with PAR2 parity files and SHA-256 hash manifests stored alongside each tape so integrity can be verified decades later. DNDA copyright sign-ups of the master is handled in parallel, locking the production's legal chain of custody before any commercial release.

Here is how the work shapes up. For shoots that warrant national heritage status, we set up hand-off to Patrimonio Fílmico Colombiano — the country's national film preservation archive — and to Cinemateca Distrital de Bogotá, both of whom keep ISO and INTOSAI-aligned archive standards for Colombian cinema. García Márquez audio archive material, Caracol and RCN telenovela catalogues with thousands of episodes in legacy HDV and XDCAM HD needing active migration, and FICCI Cartagena festival selections all flow through this pipeline.

Here is how it adds up. Format-migration plans are built into each contract: LTO generation transitions, ProRes-codec compatibility windows, and HDR-master future-proofing for eventual Dolby Vision or HDR10+ re-mastering are all flagged at intake so the production's library stays in tech viable for streaming re-licensing, anniversary theatrical re-issues, or scholarly access through Cinemateca's research-print loan programme.
