Wireless Audio Systems
Professional wireless microphones and RF coordination for productions throughout Colombia.
Here is how this works in practice. Wireless audio systems give cable-free transmission of microphone signals, intercom feeds, and tracking audio across production sets. We set up frequencies compliant with ANE rules across Colombian locations, from dense urban Bogotá to tropical coast sets in Cartagena and Santa Marta. Digital wireless technology delivers reliable, high-quality audio transmission that gives talent freedom of movement and sound departments flexibility in complex shooting environments.
Here is the short of it. We source wireless audio systems with the channel capacity and frequency planning your production demands across Colombia. Our team handles range scanning compliant with ANE Colombian frequency rules, system setup, and backup gear to make sure interference-free wireless audio performance across your shoot, no matter location complexity.

Wisycom, Lectrosonics and Shure Axient wireless under ANE Colombian spectrum coordination
Here is the layout. Wireless audio in Colombia runs on a stack of Wisycom MCR42 range receivers paired with MTP41S body-pack transmitters, Lectrosonics SRc dual-channel digital-hybrid receivers paired with LMb and DCHT transmitters, and Shure Axient Digital ADX5D plug-on receivers paired with ADX1 body packs. That three-vendor base covers the full senior-feature, telenovela-multi-channel and documentary-redundancy load. Lavalier inventory pairs DPA 6060 and 6061 CORE for top dialogue, Sanken COS-11D for the workhorse telenovela rig, and Countryman B6 for hidden costume work.
Here is how the picture comes together. IFB packages for global directors and producers route through Lectrosonics IFB R1a and Comtek M-216 receivers fed off the bag-mix split. Inventory flows through AudioPlus Bogotá, Sonido Tropical Cartagena and Tres Salida Studios Medellín. Global shoots bring kit in under DIAN ATA carnet and exchange consumables locally. The wireless RF technician role on larger features is filled from the Carlos García and David López production-sound-mixer lineage, with Wisycom Manager and Shure Wireless Workbench used for set up multi-channel deployments and scan-import workflows across location moves.
Here is what we have to work with. Range running is handled through ANE (Agencia Nacional del Espectro) for licensed wireless bands and CRC (formerly ANTV) for the TV-broadcast bands that double as wireless white-space inventory in Colombia. Pre-shoot RF scans are run in Bogotá (where 2,640-metre altitude reduces some FM and VHF range but boosts UHF line-of-sight propagation in Chapinero and Usaquén towers), Medellín (Aburrá Valley reflective bowl shape creates RF multipath that Wisycom range handles cleanly), and Cartagena (the UNESCO Walled City colonial stone produces unusual RF hotspots near the cathedrals).
Here is the layout. Carnaval de Barranquilla in February and FICCI Cartagena film festival in March create extreme RF density windows that drive forward-planning on backup analog frequency reserves. Drone audio sync with Aerocivil-cleared aerial drone units is handled by timecode-locked Tentacle Sync E plus internal recorder slate, since UAEAC off-limits-airspace rules limit RF transmitter output from drone-borne kit. Global director feeds for Netflix Latam, Amazon Studios MGM and HBO Max Latam shoots route through encrypted Lectrosonics Digital Hybrid feeds. ACA Colombia covers RF tech rates and Proimágenes Colombia FFC credit applies on qualifying spend.
FAQ
Wireless Equipment Inventory
What wireless systems do you provide?
Here is the breakdown. We give pro wireless systems from top manufacturers including Lectrosonics (Digital Hybrid, DSQD), Wisycom (MCR series), Sennheiser (Digital 6000, EW series), and Audio Ltd (A10). System selection depends on your production needs, budget, and operating environment.
How do you handle frequency coordination in Colombia?
Here is what that looks like on the ground. We manage frequency planning according to Colombian RF rules (ANFR). This has range scanning at your locations, planning with other shoots sharing venues, and making sure compliance with licensed frequency bands. We handle the tech complexity so your production stays legal and interference-free.
What lavalier microphones do you recommend?
We give premium lavaliers from DPA (4060, 4061, 6060), Sanken (COS-11), and Countryman (B6). Microphone selection depends on application—we recommend based on concealment needs, sound traits, and compatibility with wardrobe and talent.
Can you support large multi-channel productions?
Yes. We often support shoots needing 20, 30, or 40+ wireless channels. This has feature films, large-scale commercials, and live events. We give frequency planning, enough receivers, backup systems, and skilled operators to manage complex wireless deployments.
What about IFB and communication systems?
We give IFB (interruptible foldback) systems for talent earpieces, director communication, and live broadcast applications. This has Comtek, Lectrosonics IFB, and Shure PSM systems, set up with your production's wireless microphone frequencies.
Do wireless systems come with operators?
Wireless gear can be rented standalone or with skilled sound teams who handle all wireless management. For complex deployments, we recommend including operators who specialize in RF planning and talent wiring.
