Video Assist
Professional video assist operators providing monitoring and playback for productions across Colombia, from Bogota's studios to Cartagena's colonial streets.
A video assist operator manages the on-set playback system that allows the director, cinematographer, and other key personnel to review takes immediately after they are filmed. From productions at Dynamo studios in Bogotá to shoots in Cartagena's UNESCO-listed old city, reliable video assist is essential for efficient decision-making on set. They capture a reference feed from the camera, manage monitors, and maintain an organized library of takes and selects throughout the shooting day.
We connect you with video assist operators who keep your on-set review workflow running smoothly across Colombia. Our network includes professionals experienced with the latest playback systems, multi-camera setups, and remote monitoring solutions — whether you are filming Proimágenes Colombia-supported features in Medellín or commercial productions in Bogotá, our operators deliver broadcast-standard results for features, series, and commercial productions.

On Location
Video village operators from Cinetech, 5.1 Cine, LaBu and Reel Films inventory
Here is how the picture comes together. Video help (video village) on a Colombian crew sheet runs through a small bench of senior operators who move between Cinetech and Reel Films stock in Bogotá and LaBu Films and 5.1 Cine inventory in Medellín. The monitor stock we draw on is today's: SmallHD 503, 703 OLED and 1703 P3X 17-inch reference monitors for director and DP positions, Cine 7 and Indie 7 on-camera builds, Atomos Shogun Connect 7 and Ninja V+ for combined recording and reference, and SmallHD Vision 24 24-inch monitors for the client-and-agency lean of high-end commercial shoots.
Wireless transmission is Teradek Bolt 4K LT, 4K MAX and Bolt 6 XT — paired with Hollyland Mars 4K and Mars M1 systems for the secondary feeds and budget-conscious commercial work. Every operator carries iPad-based remote-director tools (QTAKE Monitor, Foolcontrol) and Wi-Fi-bridged streaming for off-set producer feeds via Frame.io Camera-to-Cloud where the production demands it.
On the operational side our crews are bilingual EN/ES with directors and DoPs — central in Cartagena, Bogotá and Medellín work where the call sheet routinely mixes Colombian, US and European production teams. RF coordination on the wireless video link runs under ANE (Agencia Nacional del Espectro) frequency allocations, scanned daily against Cartagena Walled City alley-range limits where stone, mass and tight line-of-sight chew through 5 GHz Bolt range and force a fall-back to wired or 2.
4 GHz mesh, and against Bogotá altitude considerations where battery runtime and amplifier output curves shift at 2,640 m elevation. Backup recording runs to Atomos Ninja V+ and Shogun Connect, with proxy generation in ProRes Proxy or DNxHR LB to keep edit help's day-of pull fast. ARL workplace-insurance compliance under Ley 1562, ICA tax registration and clean ACA-aligned rate cards keep the operator on the call sheet without onboarding friction. We match video help to brief on confirmed credits and the camera package attached — never on openings alone.
