Here is how the work shapes up. Reference work for Colombian shoots draws on a deep local visual heritage that look-development sessions explicitly engage. David Gallego's anthropological B&W on Embrace of the Serpent — the silver-toned chiaroscuro that earned the film its Oscar nomination — is the touchstone for Amazon-set documentary and narrative projects. Memoria's atmospheric jungle palette (Apichatpong's joint work with cinematographer Sayombhu Mukdeeprom on the Pijao-set sequences) anchors slow-cinema and contemplative-doc looks.

Here is how it adds up. Encanto's pastel saturation drives family and animation-adjacent commercial work. Birds of Passage's Guajira ochre and dust-orange palette guides any project venturing into the desert north. Narcos' tropical-noir teal-and-amber stays the default for prestige-streaming series. Each session ends with a logged LUT pack, CDL sidecars, a viewing-LUT for set and dailies monitors, and a written style guide that DIT, colourist, and finishing teams can carry through to delivery.
